A couple of weeks ago, I invited a friend of mine who has just recently started a business. She was blown away by the group and received 3 good referrals for her visit. She was able to reciprocate one of those referrals and one of our members closed a $5500 sale. I had no idea that her visit would be so fruitful!
The reason that one of the Key Success Factors is visitors is because visitors are extremely valuable to the BNI chapter. Not only could they become potential members, they make connections within the chapter that get business (and dollars) flowing. Last year, Glenda brought Dan Prater from CASA to a BNI meeting and that not only gave us one charity for our golf tournament, but also resulted in a new supervised family visitation ministry launched through connections Dan made within our chapter!
Anyone who has been in business for awhile knows the value of simply "mixing it up". When you get smart, passionate people together, great things happen. This is why we stress the importance of visitors for our chapter. The visitor doesn't need to be a potential member... just someone new to "mix it up" with!
